G2S specializes in developing and writing proposals to government agencies, private foundations, and multinational organizations for programs in health, human services, science and technology, education, and other fields. David Lindeman, CFRE, GPC serves as President of Global Grant Solutions. He has over 30 years of experience writing and editing for nonprofit organizations, with a success record of directly writing grant proposals to secure over $70 million for domestic and international programs from government agencies, private foundations, and multinational organizations. Successful proposals include grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Department of State, USAID, World Bank, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and other government agencies, private and community foundations, and corporations.
David also has held senior-level positions overseeing grant and fundraising operations at nonprofit organizations, leading teams to secure over $250 million in revenue. He served for nearly ten years as Senior Director of Development and External Relations at CRDF Global, raising funds for international cooperation in science, technology, health, and education, and for eight years as Director of Grants and Development at the Society for Neuroscience, securing grants, sponsorships, and donations to advance understanding of the brain and nervous system. David also brings a decade of earlier experience as a grantmaker, serving as a Program Officer with the International Science Foundation (Open Society Foundations) and as a Program Director of CRDF Global’s international research programs.
An active member of the professional grantwriting and fundraising community, he holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Grant Professional Certification (GPC), and APMP Foundation Certification (CF APMP) credentials. He recently completed two terms on the Board of Directors of the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI), the credentialing body of the grants profession, where he served as the board president for 2021 and 2022. He served as editor of the Journal of the Grant Professionals Association for five years, president of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) National Capital Area Chapter for three years, and chair of the GPA Publications Committee for three years.
David is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A., History) and holds a M.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He also holds a specialized certificate in Copyediting from the University of California, San Diego.
