Global Grant Solutions specializes in developing and writing proposals to government agencies, private foundations, and multinational organizations for domestic and international programs. Clients include nonprofit organizations, professional associations, foundations, publishers, and authors.
David Lindeman, CFRE, GPC serves as Principal of Global Grant Solutions. He has twenty years of experience writing and editing for nonprofit organizations, with a success record of securing over $60 million for domestic and international programs and projects from U.S. government agencies, private foundations, and multinational organizations. Successful proposals include grants from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Department of State, World Bank, National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and other organizations.
Prior to launching G2S, David served for nearly ten years as Senior Director of Development and External Relations at CRDF Global, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting international cooperation in science, technology, health, and education. David also brings to G2S a decade of earlier experience as a grantmaker, serving as a Program Officer with the International Science Foundation (Open Society Foundations) and as a Program Director of CRDF Global’s international research programs. Originally an area studies specialist, David has worked in more than 20 countries in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Asia to develop new grant programs.
An active member of the professional grantwriting and fundraising community, he holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Grant Professional Certification (GPC), and APMP Foundation Certification (CF APMP) credentials. He recently completed two terms on the Board of Directors of the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI), the credentialing body of the grants profession, where he served as the board president for 2021 and 2022. He served as editor of the Journal of the Grant Professionals Association (2013-2018), president of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) National Capital Area Chapter (2015-2018), and chair of the GPA Publications Committee (2018-2020).
David is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A., History) and holds a M.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He also was awarded a specialized certificate in Copyediting from the University of California, San Diego.
Global Grant Solutions also draws upon its network of professional partners depending on the nature of each project. These include subject-matter specialists in a wide variety of social science and natural science fields, researchers, writers, editors, graphic designers, budget specialists, and proposal production managers.
